NETmix
The NETmix* concept is at the heart of several projects within NET4CO2, but other cutting-edge technologies are expected to emerge.
This technology, first conceptualized at U. Porto in 2004, is centered in a unique topology of a novel micro/meso mixing device, consisting on a network of static mixing chambers interconnected by transport channels that enables the control of fluid mixtures in an optimized and reproducible way.

This is essential for the control of complex chemical reactions and processes in which the quality of the mixture is critical.

The design of these networks is compact and easily scalable, and due to their planar and bi-dimensional nature, heat transfer areas per unit of reactor volume are several orders of magnitude larger than currently used industrial alternatives.
