Transfer of knowledge and technology to SMEs regarding CO₂ capture by absorption and solvent regeneration
Strategic Sectors
CO24IND aims to transfer knowledge and technology to SMEs on a new technology for carbon dioxide capture & separation, developed by CoLAB NET4CO2. The project focuses on companies located in the Northern and Central regions of Portugal, across six target sectors:

Ceramics

Cement

Glass

Waste Management

Chemical Industry

Energy
Objectives
CO24IND envisions that companies in the target sectors will adopt a green transformation of their production processes. To this end, based on an assessment of the current situation of the targeted SMEs, the following strategic objectives have been defined:
1
Knowledge Transfer
Bring to SMEs the know-how on CO₂ capture, disseminating best practices to reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency.
2
Technology Scale-Up
Transfer to companies in Northern and Central Portugal an innovative CO₂ capture technology based on absorption, suitable for direct implementation in industrial facilities.
3
Intellectual Property and Market
Align Intellectual Property potential and commercialization strategies with concrete market opportunities, thereby reinforcing the innovation ecosystem and strengthening collaboration between Industry and Academia.
4
Positioning Positioning Net4CO2
Establish NET4CO2 as a key Science and Technology interface, enhancing its expertise in Intellectual Property management and technology valorization through more active knowledge transfer.
5
Economic Valorization
Boost the competitiveness and sustainability of participating companies by promoting the adoption of the technology, strengthening value chains across Northern and Central Portugal.
